This might be the finishing touch in your interior. Let the kangaroos hop into your house. Sustainable high quality from Finland. From fabric designer Helinä Luttinen.
Through her brand &helinä she shares her stories with you. “Kangaroos” is a pattern from her Australia collection.
Helinä Luttinen, currently living in Sydney, Australia, about the Kangaroos print in her Australian collection:
“The kangaroo is a symbol of Australia and appears on the Australian coat of arms and on some of its currency. Also the kangaroo is used in the logo of some of Australias most
iconic companies, including Qantas and the Royal Australian Air Force.
The kangaroo is important to both Australian culture and the national image, and consequently there are numerous popular culture references. Kangaroos are the only large animals to use hopping as a means of locomotion. Kangaroos provide fur, meat and sinew and are commonly an integral part of aboriginal lore.
For my prints I wanted to draw a moving, hopping kangaroo. Its very cute to see them in action “
With her brand &helinä, the designer brings to life the values which are so close to her heart: Quality; Attention to detail; Sustainability; Sharing; and Exclusivity.
